01. What Is Ceylonese Connection?

Ceylonese Connection is a privately owned organization helping students around the globe to gain professional experience in Sri Lanka.

02. Who can apply

Whoever follows relevant under graduate or post graduate studies between the ages of 18 to 35.

03. How long can I stay?

Placement packages are available from a minimum of 2 weeks up to 6 weeks.

04. How to apply?

At the bottom of our web site fill out a simple form to send a message or send an email to support@ceyloneseconnection.com mentioning your interest in the program or simply send us a message to our Facebook page. One of team members will personally be in touch with you throughout your application process. Our team member will request identity, education and other documentation if necessary. After finalizing your documentation, program start and end dates you will have to confirm the request by paying a non-refundable registration fee. Upon paying the registration fee our team will guide you through rest of the registration process.

05. Why should I pay a registration fee?

Your registration fee will be used to pay hospital placement booking fee, set-up accommodation and to cover administration costs incurred. Please note that the registration fee will be deducted from your total package value.

05. When should I pay the remainder (=Full package cost – Registration fee)?

After paying an initial registration fee we will give you the option of settling the remainder on or before reaching our place of stay in Kandy.

06. What is included in the package?

The placement, airport pickup and drop, Accommodation, food and transport to your placement is included in your package.

07. When should I book my flight?

It is recommended to book your flights after the initial confirmation steps are complete.

08. Can I cancel my placement, what is your policy?

Yes you can cancel your placement at any time but we will be not able to refund you the registration fee and we will charge a commission charge of $50 for foreign exchange losses if the remainder is paid before arrival.

09. What are the methods of payment?

You can pay us by using bank wire transfers.

10. Who will be there to assist me?

Our Ceylonese Connection team will be there to assist you from the online registration, airport pickup and until your departure

11. Do I get university credits?

Ceylonese Connection cannot guarantee to get your university credits. However we will provide you with official documents issued by the PGIM (Post Graduate Institute of Medicine) to validate your elective program in Kandy General Hospital.

12. What about language requirements?

Ability to speak English will suffice in most cases because professionals and students will communicate in English.

13. With whom am I going to stay and what is your accommodation policy?

We provide our own houses to accommodate you. There are separate rooms for male and female students. Each room will accommodate up to two students. However special requests could be made on accommodation at the time when you are registering with us.

14. What should I wear for my placement program?

There are no special requirements regarding your wear. You can wear anything you like when you are at our home and travelling. We will brief you about your dress code before your arrival. We will provide you with a Ceylonese Connection lab coat.

15. What will be given for food?

We will provide you with local cuisine. Snacks and drinks will be available at our place 24/7 and we’ll occasionally provide foreign meals. Additionally we will provide you with fast food restaurant brochures which will deliver to our place (this will be on your own account)

16. How the transportation will be?

We will provide you transport to work place which is included in your package.

17. What about extra traveling?

Ceylonese Connection do not facilitate any extra travelling (ex-safaris, trips) but we can help you to arrange such events.

18. Can I come with my /friend/partner/ family member?

You can come with a partner but his accommodation cannot be guaranteed. It is recommended to inform us about it at the time of your registration.

19. What about my visa and insurance?

A tourist visa is adequate to proceed with your placement program since you are not getting paid at the placement. And a regular travel visa will be enough.
